What is an airdrop?

A crypto airdrop is the process of sending free coins or tokens to selected wallet addresses or users who meet certain criteria (for example, own a certain Ordinal collection).

What happens if one of my active loans gets an airdrop?

If the collateral you are actively using in a loan receives an airdrop, the airdrop will be in the escrow wallet (the DLC). Once you repay the loan as a borrower, the airdrop will be unlocked with the collateral automatically. If the loan is not repaid by the borrower and instead defaults, the lender will be able to unlock the collateral and airdrop in a separate transaction via the airdrop claim feature as explained below.

Note: Currently if you receive a runes airdrop to your runes used as collateral the original collateral runes and the airdropped runes will be split in a separate UTXO.

Who can claim the airdrop?

The airdrop can be claimed by whoever is eligible claiming the collateral -- lender or borrower.

If the borrower repaid the loan, the borrower will get the airdrop.
If the borrower did not repay the loan and it expired, the lender will get the airdrop.

How to claim the airdrop?

Any airdrop received during and after a loan on v0.3 can be claimed via that claim page retroactively via https://app.liquidium.fi/airdrop-claim. To claim all airdrops from your escrows please follow these steps 👇:

a. Head to your profile dropdown and click on "airdrop claim".

b. Scan your escrows to see your airdrops in the escrows.

c. Click on "claim" and sign the transaction.

d. Your airdrop is on the way to you.

Note: Airdrops can only be claimed 12 hours after termination of the loan.

Note: You can claim all airdrops of one escrow together. If you have multiple escrows, then you should claim the airdrops one by one out of the escrow. Meaning wait until every airdrop hits your wallet, to avoid any issues. Moreover check your BTC balance and your confirmed BTC to make sure you have enough BTC to claim out of the escrows. Sometimes you need more then 1 try to claim out of the escrow. We are working on improving it.
